Chairman's Chat

Its April and the sun is out and our bee’s are out but we are not. Life is so strange at the moment but we must all stick to the strict regime if stay in and stay safe. Our bee’s are now into the rapid spring build up so you should if possible attend to your bee’s. We have carried out hive inspections at the training apiary at Bastonford , keeping more than the two metres apart, and while one or two have struggled through winter most have done well and indeed some have lots of bee’s , brood , stores and into the supers. Two or three have had extra supers put with more to go at the next inspection. This shows how quickly our bee’s respond to the spring weather. As stated before help is at hand if you are unable to check on your bee’s. Above all ‘Stay Safe and Stay Well’
